Spin on politics

It is interesting to note the way that the media are reporting the vote against detention without charge for 90 days. It is not a government defeat, but a defeat for Tony Blair. Michael Howard appears gleeful and eager to take advantage of the situation that Blair finds himself in, and calls for resignation. What worries me is the way that the media seem to drive the whole process rather than simply reporting o­n it. I suppose it all goes to show the power of words.
