It has been a very sad day. Big Dana-Dog died this morning, peacefully in her sleep. I was stroking her because she was breathing strangely, and couldn’t believe it when she stopped breathing. I suppose if any death can be called good, then to die in her bed close to those she loved, was the best it could be.
The house seems very empty.
Thank you Dana for all the happy years.
Rest in peace.
So sorry to hear of your sad loss. I lost my oldest dog, age 17 just before Christmas 2004. We all still think of her fondly. Thinking of you at this time
Ellie
I read of your loss yesterday in Robin’s blog and my thoughts and prayers have been with you both in your time of sadness
Thanks Donald, much appreciated. Dana’s loss has left an emptiness in the house, she was such a big presence.

Thanks Ellie, it takes a doglover to know how sad it is when a much-loved companion dies. Freda
Ahh, I’m sorry to hear that Freda.
Peace to her memory, and on your household these days.
Thanks Randall, that helps a lot.

So very sorry, Freda. I remember the comfort she brought me at this time of year a long time ago, when I needed it. I said goodbye to Rona too this year (29th Dec).
Love
