Still no snow; still is the word……no wind to speak of either. Dalmally, it seems, is the place to be at the moment.
Here we are on a Saturday and I am taking two services again tomorrow. The sermon and service sheets are all ready but still have the prayers to do. I am looking forward to leading communion at St Conan’s – a most unusual church on the shores of Loch Awe, and St Jame’s – an episcopal church further down the loch. The main thing is to remember to wear thermals!
Freda,
What a fantastic church, but I get the idea about the thermals. Mum and I are going to church tomorrow, oops, probably should have told you to sit down before telling you that. Then its the SURPRISE! SURPRISE! birthday party, which she actually already knows about on the grounds that otherwise the shock might kill her.
How curious that your comment on Ronni’s post today was so close to mine. I recently started my own blog with much encouragement from Ronni. After she added my name to ther elderblog roll I checked out the other senior blog sites there. I bookmarked 8 as sites I really appreciated. Yours was one of them.
Since starting my blog it’s been all I can do just to get accustomed to using a computer and posting messages—they seem to get lost in cyberspace altogether too often. In any case, I haven’t been able to visit other sites as often as I’d like. I hope to make it to yours much more often in the future.
I’ll let you in on a secret. Though you’d never know it from my blog, I really like animals. I just never had any. My! how that has changed! My adjustments to the family fauna have been good grist for my blog and because I love irony, everything is said tongue-in-check. I think Misty and Kitty are very appealing little critters. I’m leaning toward a little Westie for myself.
I enjoy your “company” and I’ll be back soon.
All the Best,
Lucyd

PS The somewhat cryptic remark in my comment on Ronni’s blog about dinner last night was a reference to her request that we mention her in our Friday night Shabbat prayers.
Glad to hear you are thinking of a Westie, Lousie, they are magnificent little dogs – a bit bigger than cairns, but every bit as tough. Thanks for your comments. Freda
Dear Ellie, Happy Birthday to your Mum – have a lovely day.
