Tomorrow is like a Sunday Off as I am not preaching. Lovely to be able to listen to someone else leading worship in church. And to have the space to sit quietly and pray for friends and loved ones. As I write this on Saturday evening, the snow is drifting down and I am reminded of the phone call I received earlier – one of the sons saying that Dalamory would soon be cut off in the snow. Let’s hope he is wrong.

The life and thoughts of Freda Marshall, a retired Church of Scotland minister living amongst the mountains and glens of Argyll.Pages
Well Freda, hows your weather? Are you snowed in? Auchenshuggle is, lol. Six inches of snow fell in Glasgow overnight, we ran out of gas, so I had to drive up to the main road, did this quite early. There is no way I could have walked, its only a mile, just getting to the car park and clearing the car had me exhausted and puffing and blowing.Nice to see somthing good came out of 13 years in Cumbernauld, at least I know how to drive in snow. All church services in the area have been cancelled, the meenisters cant even get out of their driveways. One of the advantages of small congregations is you can phone round and tell them not to travel. Hope everyone is keeping safe and Misty isnt too troubled by the snow. Gypsy is covered in snow balls and really didnt appreciate the hair dryer. Lily, Declans sister, well at one point we lost her completly in the snow, and she is black, but at just over a year old she seemed to enjoy it.
Hi Ellie, I must be getting old as it all seems rather difficult! But Misty loves the snow. Our church was cancelled too, so we had to make do with a radio service. Thankfully, we still have power.
