I am busy thinking about what might happen today. Many a published writer has said it is no use sitting waiting for inspiration. Judy Dalton said, waiting for inspiration is like sitting around waiting to meet people…….it is no use, you have to go out and meet them.
Trouble is I get tired too easily. Also, it is relatively easy these days to make a network of people online. There is an almost limitless treasure store of ideas for stories. How easy it is to get distracted.
Freda, two pieces of advice, picked up from my tutor at Strathclyde. Keep a note book, small enough to fit in your pocket, write everything and anything in it. Keep it beside you at all times. It is also very very very amusing to read over it at a later date, sometimes thats the best time to get your idea to grow.
Second, write, doesnt matter how you do it, just sit puting words down, the first thing that comes into your head. Mine ususally stat with “what the hell am I sitting here at this desk playing at procastonating about……then I throw in a few things from my surroundings, eventually the ideas begin to flow, but you have to keep at it.
Good luck
