Rainy Day

Another rainy day here in Dalamory. Twenty miles to the east there is heavy snow and the roads are blocked. Four hundred feet up and the hills are swathed in white. Seems like a day for staying put. Him Behind the Wheel is making an expedition, by car, to the library van which stops a couple of hundred yards away. The cat is ensconced next to a radiator, the dog is settled on the end of the bed where she has a good view out of the window. I guess the sheets of rain coming down in torrents, makes her realise there is little chance of a walk today.

As for me, well it seems a good idea to catch up on some paperclog.

Paperclog – I love that word. I am suffering from a surfeit of paperclog at the moment. I’m hoping that if I leave it long enough, most of it will be out of date and therefore fit for the filing-bin.

That sounds like the “leave it for three months then file in the bin” regime that my husband’s old boss used to advocate. Local Govt – 40yrs ago.
