They say that over a billion people throughout the world watched the Concert for Diana. I dipped in and out and have to admit to an ignorance about much of the pop music stars nowadays. But it was wonderful to see Wembley stadium full and to join in a little bit with all the young(ish) people celebrating a life. A wonderful idea to benefit many charities, and somehow it seemed for me to epitomise something of the British spirit. We need that kind of togetherness.
