It does not seem right to have my birthday on Good Friday. However, the weather reminds me of an incident round about my eighth birthday. I was gazing out at the snow and in a strop – all because my mother would not let me wear a summer dress. I was busy telling her that it was the first day of spring after all. Nowadays I wear more and more layers. And today the weather is alternately hail, sleet, snow, gale, darkness and the occasional burst of sunlight.
