The tick season is upon us. How come Fox can be de-ticked one minute, go out the cat-flap and come back in half an hour later needing done again? We have a lot of deer round here, so I am blaming them. But it does seem a bit extreme to have to use Frontline (anti-tick medication) every three weeks or so. I am not going to provide any links to the horrible beasties, if any reader feels so inclined, then go ahead and google it.

Oh, bother. It’s not just dogs who attract ticks. They positively love me. I do not love them. It’s back to the post-walk minute bodily examinations again. 🙁
Small comfort – be glad he does not chase rabbits as they are breeding grounds for fleas. Next door’s cat had a close encounter with one last week and came back literally covered with fleas, you could see them all over his ears and moving about through his coat! I am scratching just thinking about them!
Please excuse me while I stop to scratch and then examine the rest of me!
