I talk to the trees, too! In 2001 my husband and I purchased a small lot that is behind our house because it was about to be developed. They would have had to remove the three 85-year-old Giant Sequoias to put up a house, and the lot really isn’t a good size for a home anyway. So now we are the caretakers for these three wonderful trees that are home to so many birds and raccoons even.
Your photo is beautiful and that piece of blue sky is very sweet.
Trees are special, living, breathing centres of life – and often they have seen so many more years than we have. Puts things into perspective somehow.
