The garden birds are getting share in the birthday month celebrations. A new bird feeder station. It needs to be properly cemented in and is to be stocked up with such delicacies as sunflower hearts, fatballs (unfortunate name for the rounded ones in the household) and dried meal worms. I expect these latter taste better than they look. Photo in due course, as well as wildlife report on whether we can tempt the woodpecker round from the front garden to the back.

The chief D I Y man will supply slab and driller to enable bird feeder station to be secure and is on his way! We have had to make sure that our feeders are rock solid as one of the main visitors to the seed tray is a large (and fat) cock pheasant. It is fun to see him try to perch his great bulk on the dainty little tray meant for nothing greather than finches.
And the proof is in the next post for all to see. Thanks very much
