Having a cat and a small dog causes all sorts of unexpected fun. However, jealousy has been rearing its ugly head. Fox, the cat, has long been vaguely cross that Misty, the cairn, has to have eye drops every morning. (She has no tears in one eye.) But now the cat has conjunctivitis and needs drops twice a day. Still, the cat should only need them for a week. Misty wins the attention stakes because she needs her treatment every day for the rest of her life.
