Here is the sign of a hard spring – the deer are constantly foraging around the house, and they are still coming into the garden. Misty is very funny, she growls and rumbles low in her throat and quivers with excitement. And if we are not paying attention she continues this behaviour running round my legs.

Watch out the deer do not run round your legs – that would confuse Misty!
Yay for deers. Slightly frosty dew here early this morning too.
There may also be more deer and that is why they are foraging closer to your house. Competition.
And they are back again at lunchtime! They are avoiding the front of the house, preferring to be near enough to the trees to run back and hide I presume. The poor garden has been decimated. Tim, it’s the tick problem that gets to me and lands on the cat – he will go hunting in deer territory.
