The oyster catchers are back again – a wonderful sense of spring. The Birthday Month Treat was a walk with the dog in the sun, feeling uplifted by these beautiful birds.

What an interesting photo and interesting bird. Signs of spring?
Lovely picture Freda and fascinating birds aren’t they. Have never seen them live. They look quite small. I’d always thought of them as quite big.
Spring is more in the garden than on the river right now, though the birds themselves always reappear at this time of year. They are similar in size to a pigeon, but slightly finer – their call is most evocative.
Oh I would love to see an oystercatcher. Lucky you to see three of them at once. The Robin has returned to our neck of the woods. Dianne
