Grandmas hold our tiny hands for just a little while, but our
hearts forever. ~Author Unknown
A very true statement I received in the mail a day or two ago. I still remember my grandmothers with great fondness. Yes – even the one who dyed her hair jet black and told me to call her Auntie. The other one was a traditional grandma-shape: round and squishy. She had an infectious laugh and made it clear that I was the centre of her world.
I have seven grandchildren, and all I can do is to hope that I make a difference in their lives. They won’t know how often I think of them or see their faces in my mind’s eye, but I will try to make sure they know how much they are loved.
Isn’t it GRAND to have time to do that??
Hope the throat’s a bit better and you’re feeling improvement.
How about the porch…..or should I not ask?
GRAND indeed, Ray. Throat is better and porch is not!
Just off to have lunch in Glasgow with my granddaughter (aged 10 weeks) – her mother will be there, of course, but she’s a joy too after having a house full of chaps!
And think of all the lovely girlie things you can look for in the shops!
