Sounds like the title of a book – indeed I think it is. Yesterday, after the church service I looked round at a goodly number of people who had stayed for tea and coffee, and enjoyed the buzz of friendliness. A new person was being welcomed into the village, a five year old boy was running around helping serve biscuits, and I couldn’t help thinking that this is what the church in the countryside is all about.
