Going to the hairdresser this afternoon. A time to be pampered awhile and a time to read ancient copies of Hello magazine, trying to work out who all the celebrities are. All this amidst Radio 2 very much in the foreground and being shunted around from basin to workstation to workstation. It is all like some choreographed musical – but I expect that has already been done. In fact I remember seeing it in a Dolly Parton film (I think) Any suggestions welcome.

Great film ‘Steel Magnolias’ – quite a few years ago though! Thanks for the memory.
Thanks for jogging my memory. I have it on DVD so may take a trip down memory lane. The best line in the film is when Shirley MacLaine is asked why she looks so cross and says “Because I have been in a very bad mood for forty years!” Or something like that.
On seeing a post titled “Outing”, I must admit to expecting a little more gossipworthy than a trip to the hairdresser.
At least we got Dolly Parton.
You don’t know the hotbed of gossip that is my hairdressers.
