   I know this poem well, it is so sad.
   I have reached the first shores of Lethe but hope not to get to the river’s end.
   Perhaps his vision is the vision of utter obliteration through illness. I would hope so, anyway. At least then we won’t know how much we have forgotten.

   Lovely, lovely…his voice, the imagery of the words, and the scratchy film images. Thanks so much. I even forgive the toothpaste ads at the bottom!
