Labyrinth

Have just finished reading Labyrinth by Kate Mosse. Note the e at the end, she is not a supermodel, though she is a superwriter. I can say that now that I have made the effort to keep going. At one point I was losing patience with all the plots, subplots, conspiracies and mediaeval history. However, the last quarter of the book was rivetting. With all the hype about the Da Vinci Code and its theories and so-called secrets, I feel compelled to cite Labyrinth as simply a good story with a certain amount of historical background, yet of a similar genre. I am a late convert to thrillers and detective stories, but cannot imagine how people take them too seriously. In my experience, real life is strange enough and difficult enough to cope with – a bit of escapism will not harm if taken as just that.

Happy reading!
